A new working week begins, and many of us will spend the coming days chasing targets, closing deals, building careers, solving problems, and pursuing better lives. There is nothing wrong with ambition. But somewhere between the pursuit of success and the celebration of achievement, we must remember what success cannot buy.
Money can purchase a comfortable bed, but not peaceful sleep. It can buy a house, but not a happy home. It can attract attention, but not genuine affection. It can pay for medicine, but cannot guarantee another breath.
The irony is that we often sacrifice the very things we can not buy in pursuit of the things we can.
Paddy Iyamu’s journey offers a quieter definition of achievement—education used to serve, knowledge used to empower, and success measured partly by the lives touched along the way.
As you begin this new week, may your work prosper, your efforts produce results, and your doors open to meaningful opportunities. But may you also have the wisdom to protect the treasures money cannot replace.
Ask yourself: If you achieved everything you wanted this week, but lost your peace, your relationships, and your integrity, would you still call it success?
