WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY 2026: _CELEBRATING THE BUILDERS OF OUR FUTURE
Today, October 5, I join the world in celebrating our teachers on World Teachers’ Day.
To every teacher across Edo South Senatorial District, and indeed across Edo State and Nigeria as a whole, I acknowledge your dedication to educating, inspiring and shaping the next generation.
Teaching is more than a profession; it is a calling to build minds, nurture talents, instil values and prepare young people for the responsibilities of tomorrow. Every doctor, engineer, lawyer, entrepreneur, leader and professional began that journey in the classroom, guided by a teacher.
I recognise the sacrifices you make, often in challenging circumstances, to ensure that our children have the knowledge, discipline and opportunities they need to thrive. Your work remains fundamental to the progress of our communities and the future of our nation.
I remain committed to supporting efforts that strengthen our education system, improve learning environments and advance opportunities for teachers and learners across our district.
On this special day, I salute your service and encourage you to remain steadfast in this noble calling. The impact of a great teacher may extend far beyond the classroom, but its legacy lives on in every life transformed.
