CONDOLENCE MESSAGE ON THE PASSING OF HIS EXCELLENCY, DR EMMANUEL EWETA UDUAGHAN
I received with profound sadness the news of the passing of His Excellency, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, former Governor of Delta State.
On behalf of the management and staff of the Federal Ministry of Regional Development, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Uduaghan family, the Government of Delta State and the entire people of the state over this painful loss.
Dr Uduaghan’s life brought together the compassion of a medical practitioner and the responsibilities of public leadership. Through his service as Commissioner for Health, Secretary to the State Government and Governor, he made contributions that form an enduring part of Delta State’s history.
His passing is a significant loss to Delta State, the Niger Delta and Nigeria. At a time when our communities continue to seek greater unity, peace and development, we honour the memory of those who devoted years of their lives to public service.
To his wife, children and the entire Uduaghan family, I offer my deepest sympathy. Beyond the public offices he held, you mourn a husband, father and loved one whose presence cannot be replaced. May Almighty God comfort you and grant you strength through this difficult period.
I also stand in solidarity with the Government and people of Delta State as they mourn their former governor. May the memories of his service and the lives he touched bring consolation to all who grieve.
May Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest and give his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
Engr. Abubakar Momoh, FNSE
Honourable Minister of Regional Development
