Hon. Osamuede Edwin Edebiri, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Oredo East State Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on the successful commissioning of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses in Benin City.
Edebiri described the initiative as a significant achievement that would improve transportation and provide residents with greater mobility across the state capital.
In his congratulatory message, the APC candidate expressed delight over the commissioning, noting that the introduction of the CNG-powered buses would benefit Edo residents, particularly his constituents in Oredo East, by supporting their daily transportation needs within the city centre.
He commended Governor Okpebholo for taking practical steps towards improving the welfare of the people through initiatives aimed at making transportation more accessible and convenient.
According to Edebiri, the commissioning represents another demonstration of the governor’s commitment to delivering on his campaign promises and advancing the objectives of his administration’s SHINE Agenda.
He expressed optimism that the initiative would contribute to improved urban mobility and enhance the daily experiences of residents, including traders, workers, students and other commuters who depend on public transportation.
Edebiri reaffirmed his support for policies and programmes that promote development, ease the burden on residents and improve the quality of life of the people of Edo State.
He urged the people to continue supporting the Okpebholo-led administration as it pursues its development agenda for the state.
On Thursday, the First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, inaugurated 50 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses and launched a N1 billion economic empowerment programme for 5,000 beneficiaries in Edo.
The First Lady, who performed the inauguration and launched the empowerment programme, said both initiatives of Gov. Monday Okpebholo demonstrated his love for the people of Edo.
