My Dear constituents,
There are moments in life when the true measure of a man is not found in victory, but in the dignity with which he responds to disappointment.
Today is one of those moments.
While the outcome of the primary election was not what many of us hoped for, I stand before you with a clear conscience, immense gratitude, and an unshakable faith in God. Public office has never been my destination; it has always been my platform to serve. That mission does not begin with an election, and it certainly does not end with one.
I have never believed that leadership is measured by how long one occupies an office. Rather, it is measured by the lives one touches, the hope one restores, and the legacy one leaves behind.
I have stared death in the face before, and by the grace of God, I lived to serve. That is why no election result can ever break my spirit or diminish my love for our people.
Shortly after I was elected to represent my people in the House of Representatives, I was involved in a ghastly motor accident that nearly claimed my life. For well over a year, I was bedridden. I spent many months confined to a wheelchair and, for almost two years, relied on crutches before I could walk again.
There were moments when many believed I would never recover. Some thought my public service had come to an end.
But God had other plans.
“The strongest people are not those who never fall; they are those who rise every time life tries to keep them down.”
Every painful step I took reminded me that God had spared my life for a purpose. I refused to allow pain to become an excuse. Instead, I made it the fuel that drove me to serve my people with everything I had.
Despite every physical challenge, I remained committed to the mandate you entrusted to me.
By the grace of God and through the opportunity you gave me to serve, I was able to transform lives.
I provided grants that empowered countless families, traders, artisans, farmers, women, and young entrepreneurs to build sustainable livelihoods and restore hope where there had once been despair.
I invested in the future of our children by building and equipping schools, ensuring that they could learn in safer, better-equipped, and more dignified learning environments.
I empowered women because I have always believed that when you empower a woman, you strengthen a family, and when you strengthen a family, you build a nation.
I built a modern police station because the safety and security of our communities should never be left to chance.
I constructed a tarred road within Ambrose Alli University, improving access and making life easier for students, lecturers, and visitors.
I distributed over twenty campaign vehicles in support of the campaign of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because I believed in the vision of our great party and remained committed to its success.
These were not campaign promises.
These were promises fulfilled.

Today, the outcome of the primary election may not have gone in my favour, but I leave this contest with my head held high, knowing that I gave my very best.
What saddens me is not the loss of an election.
What saddens me is that sincere service is sometimes overshadowed by politics.
Still, I refuse to become bitter.
Because I know that no one can rewrite history.
No one can erase the schools I built.
No one can erase the grants that changed lives.
No one can erase the women I empowered.
No one can erase the road I constructed.
No one can erase the Hospital I built.
No one can erase the solar Borehole I provided to several communities
No one can erase the scholarship given to our indigenous people
No one can erase the modern police station I built.
No one can erase the hope I restored.
“Service is remembered long after power is forgotten.”
To every supporter who prayed for me during my darkest days, stood beside me through my recovery, believed in me when I could barely stand, and remained loyal until today, I offer my deepest gratitude.
You gave me strength when I had none.
You believed in me when many thought my journey was over.
You reminded me that leadership is earned not only through victory, but through sacrifice, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the people.
This election is only one chapter.
It is not the end of my story.
The same God who brought me back from the edge of death is still writing my story, and I trust His perfect timing.
I congratulate everyone who emerged victorious and sincerely pray that they will always place the interests of our people above every personal ambition.
As for me, my commitment remains unchanged.
Whether in office or outside it, I will continue to serve with integrity, compassion, and dedication.
Because positions are temporary.
But purpose is eternal.
