The Minority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Ovia Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Hon. Charity Aiguobarueghian, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Prof. Ovenseri Aibuaeku to sympathize with them over their irreplaceable loss.
During the visit, Hon. Charity expressed his heartfelt condolences to the widow, children, and other members of the bereaved family. He encouraged them to take solace in the exemplary life lived by their patriarch, describing the late Prof. Aibuaeku as a distinguished gentleman whose life was marked by integrity, service, wisdom, and commitment to humanity.
Hon. Charity also reflected on the cordial political relationship he shared with the late professor, describing him as a respected elder statesman, trusted adviser, and a man whose wealth of experience and wise counsel were invaluable. He noted that Prof. Aibuaeku remained committed to the growth and development of Ovia and Edo State, always advocating for peace, unity, and purposeful leadership.
According to the lawmaker, while death is an inevitable part of life, the enduring legacy of a life well lived remains a source of comfort and inspiration to those left behind. He urged the family to remain strong, united, and to continue upholding the values for which the late professor was known.
Hon. Charity prayed for God to grant the family the strength and fortitude to bear the painful loss and for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed.
The visit was concluded with the signing of the condolence register by Hon. Charity, where he paid a glowing tribute to the memory of the late Prof. Ovenseri Aibuaeku and offered prayers for the family during this difficult period.
