Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Spiritual Father Emmanuel Alogbo dies at 93
The Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, has announced the passing of its Spiritual Father, His Most Eminence Emmanuel Alogbo, who died at the age of 93.
According to a statement issued on Thursday by the church’s Secretary-General, Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye, Alogbo passed away peacefully at about 2:10 a.m. at his residence in Lagos, surrounded by members of his family and domestic staff.
The church described the late cleric as a devoted spiritual leader whose life was dedicated to the service of God and humanity.
“With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, we announce that our Spiritual Father was called to glory in the early hours of July 30, 2026,” the statement said.
As part of the mourning arrangements, the church announced that daily prayer sessions would be held for seven days from 5:00 p.m. at his residence on Plot 1, Alogbo Close, off Ahmadiyya Bus Stop, Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Lagos.
It added that details of the funeral programme would be announced later.
The church also urged members to remain steadfast in faith during the mourning period, praying for God to grant the church the strength to bear the loss.
Prophet Alogbo was widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s longest-serving church leaders. During his tenure, he oversaw the spiritual growth and expansion of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide across Nigeria and beyond.
His passing marks the end of an era for the church, with members expected to gather in the coming days to honour his life and legacy.
