AN EDUCATIONAL AND ISSUES-BASED MANIFESTO TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF OVIA NORTH-EAST AND OVIA SOUTH-WEST
SUBJECT: THE RECLAMATION OF SOVEREIGNTY: THE OFFICIAL CAMPAIGN TO LIBERATE OVIA
My Resilient People of Ovia,
Today, I welcome you all to a campaign season that will reclaim the sovereignty of Ovia North-East and Ovia South-West.
Today, August 19, 2026, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially lifted the ban on public political campaigns, marking the formal countdown to the 2027 Green Chamber elections. This is not a standard political launch. This is a historic democratic awakening and an aggressive breaking of mental chains.
Under the progressive, unyielding banner of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), I draw an absolute, unconditional line between the exhausted, backward politics of seasonal handouts and the urgent, non-negotiable demand for the structural, legislative liberation of Ovia Federal Constituency.
To fully understand the gravity of this moment, we must understand the true constitutional power of the House of Representatives: lawmaking, oversight, and representation. The Green Chamber was never meant to be a quiet retirement home for politicians or a platform for distributing superficial crumbs. It was designed to be a thunderous powerhouse where national resources are fiercely negotiated and brought back home to the people.
Yet, for too long, Ovia has been sentenced to a devastating, submissive silence in Abuja. While other federal constituencies aggressively secure massive federal infrastructure, modern energy grids, and transformative economic lifelines through high-level legislative lobbying, the hardworking people of Ovia have been left behind. I refuse to sit quietly while the rich potential of Ovia North-East and Ovia South-West is bartered away for the personal comfort of an elite few.
This campaign is about taking control of our collective destiny. I am committed to rewriting the rules of engagement by introducing uncompromising, targeted bills in the Green Chamber that will force the national spotlight onto Ovia’s security challenges, our abandoned agrarian communities, and our economic survival.
I am retiring the deceptive culture of token empowerment. The NDC is committed to establishing digital infrastructure hubs to transform Ovia’s youth and market women into global economic competitors.
We will also deploy aggressive infrastructure advocacy to bring Ovia’s rightful share of federal budget allocations directly to our communities. This means upgrading dilapidated health clinics with solar-powered systems for reliable medical care, and paving the critical trade and agricultural roads that feed our economy.
Finally, I will bring true sovereignty back to the people and permanently end the era of the ghost politician. I will institutionalize mandatory, unscripted quarterly town halls and active Local Government offices in Ovia North-East and Ovia South-West where you, the people, dictate the legislative agenda.
I am taking this message to every ward, every village, and every household across every single corner of Ovia. We are not just running against opposing candidates. We are running against the defeated illusion that Ovia is destined to lag behind.
The sleeping giant of Ovia Federal Constituency is officially awake. When enlightened, politically educated people stand up under the umbrella of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, the status quo collapses.
Excellent performance deserves promotion. Let us march with courage, reject political tourism, and fiercely claim the prosperous future that belongs to our children.
