CELEBRATING EDO AT 35: OUR HERITAGE, OUR PRIDE, OUR FUTURE
Today, I join my fellow Edo sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora to celebrate 35 years of Edo State—35 years of rich heritage, resilience, remarkable achievements, and an unbreakable spirit.
Edo is more than a geographical expression; it is a people bound together by a proud history, a vibrant culture, and a shared determination to build a better future. From our great Benin heritage to the strength and resilience of our communities, we have every reason to celebrate who we are and what we represent.
As we mark this important milestone, let us honour the sacrifices of those who came before us while embracing the responsibility to create greater opportunities for the generations yet unborn. Our diversity should be our strength, and our unity should remain the foundation upon which we build.
My prayer is that Edo State will continue to experience peace, progress, economic growth, improved opportunities, and sustainable development. May every community and every citizen have a reason to hope for a brighter tomorrow.
On this 35th anniversary, I celebrate the great people of Edo State and reaffirm my commitment to service, integrity, accountability, and development.
