EDO @ 35: Rt. Hon. Paschal Ugbome Salutes the Good People of Edo State

…Extols their resilience, unity, and peaceful coexistence over the years.

Rt. Hon. Paschal Ugbome has joined the government and the people of Edo State, both at home and in the diaspora in celebrating 35 years of peaceful coexistence, growth, resilience, unity, and dedication to state building.

In his words:
“Though we may not have fully attained the level of development we envisioned as a people, Edo has no doubt made tremendous progress across different spheres since its creation on 27th of August, 1991

On a day like this, Edo State ‘the Heartbeat of the Nation’ was created. I am filled with joy that, despite all challenges, through thick and thin, we have remained steadfast and resolute in our collective pursuit of Edo State of our dreams.”

Much has transpired politically and otherwise since the creation of our dear state, but in all these, we have never been divided. Rather, we have grown stronger and remain more united

I profoudly appreciate our past and present leaders whose vision, policies, sacrifices, and contributions have collectively lifted Edo to where it is today. I also salute our religious leaders and traditional rulers for their unflinching role in promoting unity, peace, and harmony among our people”

Ugbome further reaffirmed his belief in a greater tomorrow for the state: “We will continue to build on our past successes to ensure Edo becomes the land of our shared dreams. May unity, peace, and progress remain our guiding light as we look forward to many more victorious years ahead.”

God bless Edo State, and
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
