WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY: DR. PADDY IYAMU
CELEBRATES TEACHERS, HAILS THEIR SACRIFICE IN BUILDING THE FUTURE
On the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, I join governments, institutions, parents, students and communities around the world in celebrating our teachers for their invaluable contributions to education and human development.
Teachers are the true architects of our future. They are the builders of minds and the solid foundation upon which every great society is built. Through their dedication, patience and unwavering commitment, they equip our children and young people with the knowledge, values and skills needed to become responsible citizens and future leaders.
As Former Commissioner for Education, Edo State, I recognise the important role teachers play in shaping the future of our dear state. My commitment while in office to creating clean, safe and conducive learning environments, promoting digital learning and improving the quality of teaching across our schools was part of my broader responsibility to support both learners and educators.
I commend our teachers for their sacrifices and resilience, and I encourage them to continue inspiring the next generation. I will continue to work with relevant stakeholders to promote quality education and improve the learning environment for all.
To all teachers in Edo State and beyond, thank you for shaping our future. Your labour will never be forgotten.
HAPPY WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY!
Thank you, Teachers!
Dr. Paddy Iyamu
Former Honourable Commissioner for Education
