Dennis Idahosa and other senior leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the Governor’s interactive visit to the local government area.

The visit is aimed at interfacing directly with key party structures and stakeholders across the local government ahead of the 2027 general elections. Those targeted for the engagement included Ward Unit Managers, political appointees, LGA Council executives and councillors, LGA and ward party officials, party leaders and elders, members of the 2027 Campaign Council, campaign support groups and APC candidates.

The Governor’s entourage included former Edo State Governor and Senatorial candidate representing Edo North, Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole; member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Sunday Dekeri Anamero; and member of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ahmed Waziri Oshomah, who also are APC candidates for the 2027 general elections. Also present was the state Party Chairman Chief Jarrett Tenebe, among others.

The engagement held at the APC Secretariat Open Space in Fugar where Governor Okpebholo and his entourage were received by Hon. (Mrs) Eugenia Abdallah alongside party supporters, leaders and stakeholders.

The Governor and his entourage were welcomed by a large gathering of party supporters and stakeholders in high spirits, with Eugenia Abdallah leading the reception.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Okpebholo thanked the people of Etsako Central and Edo State for their support during the last governorship election. He assured them that his administration would continue to work towards meeting their expectations.

The Governor urged the party’s supporters and stakeholders to support APC candidates in the forthcoming 2027 general elections. He called on them to vote for the party’s candidates across the ballot, from the Presidency through the National Assembly and down to the Edo State House of Assembly.

He also urged party leaders, campaign council members, support groups and other stakeholders to work together towards the realization of the party’s objectives in the 2027 elections.

Speaking during the engagement, Senator Oshiomhole highlighted ongoing development efforts in Edo North, citing the multi-billion-naira Uzairue International Market project in Etsako West as one of the major projects currently underway in the area.

Oshiomhole also said more developmental interventions would be attracted to Edo North through his constituency projects and initiatives of the Federal Government.

The Governor’s engagement in Etsako Central forms part of the wider interface with APC structures, candidates, campaign teams and stakeholders as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
