I join my voice with the rest of the world to celebrate our girls on this special occasion of the International Day of the Girl Child.
Today, we celebrate the strength, intelligence, courage and boundless potential of the Girl Child. She is not just a daughter, but a future leader, innovator, nation builder and mother of greatness.
This year’s celebration is a reminder of our shared duty to protect, educate, and empower our girls, and to create a safe environment where they can grow and fulfil their dreams without fear of discrimination, violence, early marriage or abuse.
As a father, leader and educationist, I remain firmly committed to championing the cause of the girl child and supporting initiatives that promote girl-child education, safety and empowerment in Oredo and beyond.
When we invest in a girl, we secure a family. When we educate a girl, we build a stronger nation.
To every girl in Oredo Federal Constituency and around the world: You are valued, your dreams are valid, and your future is limitless.
