It is with great joy and a heart full of pride that I warmly congratulate the Executive Chairman and Honourable Councillors of the Esan West Local Government Council on your historic swearing-in and assumption of office.
Your emergence marks a significant milestone in strengthening grassroots governance and bringing democratic leadership closer to the people of Esan West. It is also a renewed opportunity to deepen development, promote accountability, and restore greater confidence in local governance.
As you assume the enormous responsibilities entrusted to you, I urge you to regard your office as a sacred call to service. I encourage you to discharge your duties with humility, dedication, integrity, transparency, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare and aspirations of our people.
This is a time for purposeful, inclusive, accountable, and people-centred leadership. I therefore charge you to prioritise the needs of our communities and pursue programmes and policies that will deliver meaningful development, improve livelihoods, strengthen our communities, and create greater opportunities for the people of Esan West.
I equally encourage you to work closely with the Edo State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, GOVERNOR MONDAY OKPEBHOLO, as well as other stakeholders and leaders, including our Distinguished Senator, SENATOR JOSEPH I. IKPEA, representing Edo Central Senatorial District. Through cooperation, consultation, and shared commitment, we can advance policies and initiatives that will improve the lives of our people and promote sustainable development across our communities.
I have full confidence that this new administration will play a vital role in deepening development at the grassroots and contributing significantly to the continued progress of Esan West and Edo State at large.
As your representative at the Edo State House of Assembly, I pledge my full support, cooperation, and collaboration towards building stronger partnerships that will enable us to deliver the dividends of democracy to our people.
